Reading the bible:
Where to start?

We hand out about 100 Bibles a month. To visitors of the Bible classes, when we visit people at home, or sometimes just during a conversation on the street. But where should I start reading? That’s a common question when people receive a Bible.
We often hear from people that they just open the Bible and read the verses that first catch their eye. Of course, we are very glad that people open their Bibles. The Lord, for Whom nothing is too hard, can use these Bible verses to make hearts bow before Him! And yet, to understand something of the biblical message, it is necessary to read the Bible in a different way.

To help people do this, a five-week Bible reading plan has been made, using five colors. Green: God created all things well. Black: we have fallen in sin. Red: the work of the Lord Jesus. White: forgiveness of sins. And gold: eternal life.
Sowing, through the distribution of Bibles. Through Bible reading plans or through simple booklets for children. These simple resources can now be found in several small houses. In some of these houses God’s Word was never opened before.

It is our desire that the Lord will bless these resources and begin to work in their hearts with His Spirit. As a result, will there be people who learn that they are without God in the world and therefore they are lost? Will there be children who through these means by God’s Spirit are made seekers of the Bread of Life, by a way of discovery and removal of all grounds?

There are special moments of joy when a mother or a child shows a booklet that has been handed out, but this time with all their own notes. Or when they come to us with a question in response to what they have read. Then a silent prayer ascends, asking if the Lord will bless it.
So would it be in vain to hand out evangelism materials? Let us fight against these unbelieving thoughts! The Word will not return unto Him void. Therefore, we may develop evangelism materials in local languages and spread His Word. The Lord will do what pleases Him.

shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
